In development

TDRA Consulting is being built and isn’t formally taking engagements yet. The services and projects described here reflect completed work and current capability. If something here matches a problem you have, get in touch anyway. Early conversations are welcome.

AboutFounder-led · Winnipeg

A hands-on analytics practice, not an agency.

TDRA works directly with businesses to solve practical problems using data. The person discussing the business problem with you is the person doing the analysis.

Operator first.

  1. Before
    10+ years operating businesses

Retail and business operations. Decisions were made with whatever numbers were on hand.

  2. Then
    Data.

Learning to work with the data properly: analytics, machine learning, data architecture and applied modelling at Red River College Polytechnic.

  3. Then
    AI.

Models, and a clear view of when they help and when a better question does more.

  4. Now
    TDRA.

Business, data and AI in one small practice. Not yet formally taking engagements; early conversations are welcome.

Troy Dela Rosa

Founder

TDRA was founded after more than a decade in retail operations, most recently directing a $2M+ location with direct responsibility for P&L, margin, payroll, inventory, staffing and day-to-day operating performance.

I understand the business because I’ve operated one. Now I add the analysis to back the judgment up.

Troy is completing a Data Science & Machine Learning diploma at Red River College Polytechnic, building formal capability in analytics, machine learning, data architecture and applied modelling.

That combination is deliberate. Plenty of people can build a model; fewer can tell you whether the number it produces should change what you do on Monday. TDRA exists at the point where practical business judgment meets analytical discipline.

The practice is small on purpose. Engagements are fixed-scope, the work is done by the person you spoke to, and the output is written to be read by a business owner rather than a data team.

Technology is the means, not the end.

Every engagement runs the same way. The dashboard, the model and the query are tools. What matters is whether the decision at the end is better than it would have been.

01

Business

Understand the problem, and the decision actually being made.

02

Data

Structure and analyze the evidence you already have.

03

Decisions

Identify what the evidence means, and what it doesn’t.

04

Action

Turn the insight into a practical next step you can measure.

Worth a conversation?

Most engagements start with a short discussion about the decision you’re trying to make.

Bring the business problem.

You don’t need to know which service you need. Start with what’s happening, what you’re trying to understand, or the decision you’re stuck on.
