How TDRA handles what you share.
The short version: TDRA collects what you choose to send, uses it to reply to you, doesn’t track you around the site, and deletes it when you ask.
Who is responsible
TDRA Consulting is a founder-led business intelligence and analytics practice in Winnipeg, Manitoba, run by Troy Dela Rosa. Troy is responsible for the personal information this site collects. For any privacy question or request, email hello@tdraconsulting.com.
What TDRA collects and why
When you use the contact form
The form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your company and a description of the problem. It also records which service you were looking at and whether the message started from the contact page, the service finder or a chat with Sandra. This is used for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to you. The form sends it as an email to TDRA’s inbox. It isn’t added to a mailing list.
When you email TDRA directly
TDRA receives whatever you include in the email, along with your email address, and uses it to reply.
When you chat with Sandra
Sandra is an automated assistant, not a person. To write each reply, the site sends your message, the last few turns of the conversation and the page you’re on to Google’s Gemini API. TDRA’s servers don’t keep a copy of your chat. The conversation is saved only in your own browser for the current visit, so it follows you between pages. Closing the tab or choosing End chat clears it.
Sandra is available only to visitors in Canada. The site works out your country from your IP address only to make that check. If you
Sandra isn’t available to visitors in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, because the free Gemini service it uses can’t be offered there. The site works out your country from your IP address only to make that check. If you’re in one of those places, you can still reach Troy by email or through the contact form.
rsquo;re outside Canada, you can still reach Troy by email or through the contact form.If you choose Continue this with Troy by email, the conversation is copied into the contact form. You can read and edit it there, and nothing is sent until you submit the form.
Please don’t share confidential, personal or client information with Sandra. Sandra currently uses Google’s free Gemini API service. Under Google’s terms for that service, Google may use what you type to improve its products, and human reviewers at Google may read it. For anything sensitive, email Troy directly instead.
Technical information
To protect the chat and the form from abuse, the site counts requests by IP address for a short window (one minute for the chat, one hour for the form). The count resets after that window. The hosting provider also processes standard request information, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and defend against attacks.
What TDRA doesn’t do
- No analytics, advertising pixels or third-party tracking scripts.
- No cookies. The site uses your browser’s session storage only to remember the Sandra conversation, whether you dismissed the “in development” notice, and whether you paused the page animations. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab.
- No selling or renting of your information, and no marketing email unless you ask for it.
Service providers
TDRA uses a small number of providers to run the site and handle enquiries. Each one receives only what it needs for its part of the job.
- Vercel hosts the website and runs the code behind the chat and the contact form.
- Google (Gemini API) generates Sandra’s replies.
- Resend delivers contact form submissions to TDRA’s inbox.
- TDRA’s email provider stores the messages you send.
TDRA also uses an AI assistant to help sort incoming enquiries and draft replies. Troy reviews every reply before it goes out, and no reply is sent automatically.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it’s there, it may be accessible to authorities under the laws of that country.
How long it’s kept
Enquiries are kept for as long as they’re needed to respond and, if a project follows, for the length of that working relationship. TDRA deletes an enquiry when you ask. Chat conversations aren’t stored by TDRA at all. Google keeps chat data according to its own Gemini API terms.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information TDRA holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@tdraconsulting.com and Troy will respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with the answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes to this page
If what the site collects or who processes it changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
